The men and women of Sherrills Ford-Terrell Fire & Rescue (SFTFR) work diligently every day to provide the highest level of professional service to both our citizens and those who are traveling through our district. Our members demonstrate daily the values of pride, honor and integrity in carrying out the department’s mission.

SFTFR has a rich heritage and deep tradition, in that, we were started as an idea back in 1969. Those who came before us were visionaries and provided the foundation for what we are today. Our hope is that we not only keep these traditions, but we continue to build upon what has been given to us and continue to provide our community with professional and quality services.

As the Fire Chief, I am honored to serve with this group of very talented and skilled professionals. Our department has seen its fair share of difficult challenges over the last several years, but we have also had many successes as well. As our district continues to grow, we know it will require more from us. But, we continue to work collectively and partner so as growth comes and more services will be needed, we will be prepared to meet those challenges.
